Good to Know

What to bring?

Bathers/active wear and two towels - one for drying, one for sitting. Thongs/beach shoes for sea plunging. Water in a non-breakable bottle - we have fresh filtered drinking water on tap for a re-fill. Best to arrive ready, but there is a toilet/shower/changing facility nearby. Come a little earlier if you wish to take this option.

What not to bring?

Our sauna is a device free zone. We also recommend removing any glasses, watches, or metal jewellery before your session. You're welcome to store your belongings in the office shelving unit.

Do I need a reservation?

It’s best to book online to avoid disappointment. But if you’re enjoying a moment of spontaneity, we have card/phone tapping facilities available. Please, no cash though.

Who can use the sauna?

We require our guests to be 18 years or older. If you have any health issues or are pregnant, please review our terms and conditions.

How long should I stay in the sauna?

We recommend taking a plunge in the ocean, or a rinse from the shower provided every 15 - 20 minutes of your 1 hour session. If it’s your first time, maybe take more frequent breaks to begin with. You’ll figure out your own preference through repeated sessions.

What is the temperature of a Hotbox sauna?

Around 90C. The lower bench is cooler though, and regular shower/ocean plunges can reduce the intensity of the session.

Sauna Etiquette

Please sit on a towel - avoid skin contact with the benches.

Refrain from swearing or speaking loudly. Please be mindful of others when talking.

Please ask for the consent of other guests before pouring water on the rocks.
